To showcase my latest work for The Automobile, the Triumph TRS cover story, I’ve created a short social media video to bring my photography to a wider audience. Plus, without the need to commute or do the nursery run (cheers, COVID) I’ve got a bit more time on my hands to create more interesting content.
The minute-long video combines images from the shoot, animation of the magazine article and a modern soundtrack with archive footage and wonderfully evocative period narration by the incomparable Raymond Baxter.
The footage is ‘borrowed’ from a film entitled Triumph at Le Mans – accredited to Standard-Triumph Films Division Coventry – that follows the progress of the three prototype cars at the 1961 Le Mans 24 Hours. You can find the full 34-minute documentary on YouTube – it’s well worth a watch if you’re into vintage motorsport.
I’m planning to create lots more video content in 2020, so watch this space.
